4-day industry & consumer fair begins Jan 11
Jamshedpur, Jan 9: The Jharkhand chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) which is organsing
‘Enterprise Jharkhand2014’ from 11-14 January at Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur is specially focusing on to provide platform to large, medium and small-scale enterprises for business co-operation and joint ventures.
We would endeavour to maximize opportunities for entrepreneurs in Jharkhand through product displays and advertising industry related information, said SK Behera Chairman CII Jharkhand.
Seeing the current economic scenario of the state and the country on the whole the theme for the year is “Ac-
celerating Economic Growth”, added Behera.
The 8th edition of the biggest industry and consumer fair of the state encompassing various sectors relevant to
accelerating economic growth is being held in partnership with MSME DI Government of India.
The biannual fair will also stress on to promote the artisans & handicrafts of the state. With this in view a modern mud house ‘Shilpagram’ has been constructed at the venue wherein local artisans would display wide range of handicraft products that seem to be endangered in near future.
Focusing on business for livelihood were SC/ST community of Jharkhand were people from the villages will be making
live demonstration of Dokra art, Jute making, honey makin, traditional paintings, metal work etc, said AB Lall, Chairman Taskforce, Enterprise Jharkhand 2014.
This year around 70 companies and more than 110 stalls will be put up at Gopal Maidan the venue for the fair.
The companies will range from real state, automobile, food processing, light steel and others were wide range
of industrial products will be up for display, said Tarun Daga, Chairman, CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council.
Several cultural programs have also been lined up at the exhibition where XLRI Band-Bodhi tree, Kidzee Dance India Dance Show and Firkal Dance Group will perform.
The fair will be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Hemant Soren on January 11 at 11 am.
Two seminars on 12 and 13 Jan
Apart from Exhibition Enterprise Jharkhand would witness parallel conferences would be focus to the same real time industrial issues.
Two seminars on 12 and 13 January would also be organized at the fair venue. The conference on Industry-NGO interface on 12 Jan at 11 am would aim to deliberate on bridging the gap between the NGO’s and the corporate ensuring inclusive growth through collaborative method.
The conference on Vendor development with specials focus on 13 Jan at 11 am affirmative action would focus on inclusive growth and hence create a socio economic balance.
Economic engagement between India & Europe today
A roundtable conference on promoting economic engagement between India and Central/Nordic Region of Europe will be held at Hotel Alcor on Friday, January 10.
The conference will be chaired by Sudhir Deoras, Chairman CII eastern Region. Also present on the occasion will
be Abhimanyu Roy, VP Avalon Consulting, Vinay Madia Director Deloitte, Haskins & Sales, Jiri Janicek from Czech Republic, Tomasz Wisniewski from Polnad and several others.
The objective of this Roundtable is to understand the various investment opportunities and promote trade between India and the Central/Nordic Regions of Europe.
