Ensure proper storage, refrigeration of vaccines: DC during vaccine store house inspection

Jamshedpur, August 22:Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri inspected the Regional Vaccine Store at Sakchi Jail Chowk in the course of which, he instructed the personnel concerned, “There should be no let-up in routine vaccination drives. Ensure that there is no waterlogging in and around the premises, keep an eye on the condition of the building, maintain proper and adequate storage and refrigeration of the vaccine stock.”

The Regional Vaccine Store is used for vaccine storage purposes for all three districts of the Kolhan region. During the inspection, routine vaccination operations were reviewed by the Deputy Commissioner, and proper instructions were given for the maintenance of vaccines.

The DC reviewed the building’s condition, available refrigeration facilities for vaccine storage, deployment of human resources, vaccine stock and the supply of vaccines to the districts. DC Manjunath Bhajantri emphasized that there should be no issues in routine vaccination operations.During the inspection, directives were issued to address waterlogging issues in the premises and to take necessary actions regarding building construction. He instructed the Store Manager to ensure cleanliness in and around the Vaccine Store premises.The DC made queries regarding the condition of the building, availability of adequate refrigeration for vaccine storage, deployment of human resources, vaccine stock and the process of vaccine supply to the districts. He directed that all concerned officials ensured smooth routine vaccination process. (w/gsd)
