Seraikela: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma reviewed the work of various government departments of Seraikela-Kharsawan through video conferencing on Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting, Verma directed the officials of registry and transport offices to ensure cashless transaction in their offices by installing e-PoS machines. She further asked the district superintendent of education to conduct a literacy test in August to assess how much of the literacy goal had been achieved in the district so far. She also asked the DSE to conduct a probe of affiliated schools and ensure admission of girls with the help of their Aadhar cards. She directed the DSEE to launch a campaign in private schools to issue Aadhar cards to students.
The CS was informed by the transport officer that four applications had been received for rural bus service. She asked the excise superintendent to submit the monthly progress report to the district office every month without fail.
Verma further asked the district authorities concerned to run a cleanliness drive in their areas and organize free health check up camps.
