English Department hosts two-day seminar at Karim City College Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 3: The Postgraduate English Department at Karim City College organized a stimulating two-day seminar from July 1 to July 2. Hosted by students of Postgraduate Semester-1 in the college auditorium, the event featured research paper presentations by 50 students from Postgraduate Semester-4, covering a diverse range of topics.

Addressing the assembled students before the seminar commenced, Dr. S.M. Yahya Ibrahim, Head of the Department, emphasized the seminar’s role in shaping the literary thinking and ideology of students, laying the foundation for their future as scholars. He underscored the importance of distinguishing between an article and a research paper, challenging students to demonstrate scholarly rigor in their presentations.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Professors Dr. Neha Tiwari and Dr. Basudhara Rai, along with Prof. Saket Kumar, provided a comprehensive review of the proceedings. The seminar was organized under the guidance of Prof. A.K. Das, who congratulated the students for their insightful perspectives on literature, particularly praising their adept use of multimedia presentations during the sessions.

Prof. Das commended students such as Abhishek Bhakat, Ashish Singh, Priyanka Mahato, Hina Qausar, Madiha Jannat, and Sandhayasah Kiran Kumari from Postgraduate-1 for their exceptional roles in organizing the seminar. He expressed gratitude to all participants and officially closed the seminar, marking it as a success in fostering academic inquiry and scholarly discourse among the students.
