Ranchi: The much-anticipated 8th Wild Adventure Rally 2026, a national-level Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) motorsport event, kicked off in Ranchi on Friday, ushering in three days of adrenaline-fuelled competition across Jharkhand’s challenging and scenic terrains.
National-Level TSD Rally Begins in Jharkhand
The rally is being organised by Ranchi Adventure Wheelers (RAW) under the aegis of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), with support from Jharkhand Tourism. The event will run from January 9 to January 11, 2026, attracting rallyists from different parts of the country.
A Rally with a Rich Legacy Since 1997
While RAW was formally established as a registered non-government society on December 30, 2014, the Wild Adventure Rally traces its origins back to 1997, when it began as the Wild Run Rally. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the longest-running and most respected motorsport events in eastern India.
Beyond Speed: A True Test of Skill and Endurance
Considered among India’s most sought-after TSD rallies, the Wild Adventure Rally challenges participants across off-road trails, dense forest stretches, gravel sections, and picturesque countryside routes. The competition places a strong emphasis on precision, navigation, endurance, and team coordination, making it a true test of rallying skills rather than pure speed.
Multi-Leg Competition Over Three Days
The rally will unfold over several competitive legs across Jharkhand and neighbouring regions. The event will culminate with the announcement of final results and prize distribution on January 11, 2026.
Boosting Adventure Motorsport and Tourism
Over the years, Ranchi Adventure Wheelers has played a significant role in strengthening the motorsport ecosystem in eastern India. By combining competitive racing with adventure and exploration, the organisation continues to showcase Jharkhand’s natural beauty, culture, heritage, and demanding terrain, positioning the state as a promising destination for adventure motorsports.
