Jamshedpur, Feb 21: The two-day employment fair hosted by RVS College of Engineering and Technology concluded today, marking a significant collaboration with the Board of Practical Training. A total of 33 companies actively participated in the fair, drawing hundreds of eager participants from Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, and Orissa. The event took place under the esteemed leadership of Binda Singh, Chairman of RVS Educational Trust.
The inaugural session witnessed the lighting of the lamp by key figures such as Chief Guest Inder Kumar Aggarwal, Chairman of Sudisa Foundry Pvt Ltd, Binda Singh, Chairman of RVS Educational Trust, Secretary Bharat Singh, Trust Treasurer Shatrughan Singh, Governing Body Member Shakti Singh, Special Guest K Chandramouli (Assistant Director of the Board of Practical Training), College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, and TNP President Dr. Vikram Sharma.
Expressing optimism, Chief Guest Inder Kumar Aggarwal emphasized that the collaboration with BOPT in organizing the job fair would create employment opportunities for participating candidates. He encouraged candidates to focus on skill development, highlighting the valuable platform provided by BOPT for this purpose.
Bharat Singh emphasized the significance of vocational education in securing employment post-education, stressing the need for students to align their skills with industry requirements. He also discussed the various schools and skill development centers under the RVS Educational Trust.
K Chandramouli highlighted the six-year-long tradition of organizing employment fairs at RVS College in collaboration with BOPT. He expressed pride in the participants who, after taking advantage of such opportunities, underwent training and secured commendable employment. Chandramouli underscored BOPT’s commitment to making the youth employment-oriented.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari urged youth to recognize the importance of knowledge in shaping a bright future. Dr. Vikram Sharma extended a warm welcome to the guests, and Dr. Shantimaay Mandal delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the successful conclusion of the employment fair and expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and contributors.
