Jamshedpur, October 13: Emerging football player of the Dalit society and student of Graduate College, Rani Ruhidas Was awarded a cheque of Rs ten thousand by BJP leader Chandan Kumar.
The cheque was provided courtesy of Vikrama Ram, father of Chandan Kumar and retired general manager of Jharkhand State Electricity board.
BJP leader visited Rani�s house in Nutandih, Telco and provided the cheque in presence of Rani Ruhidas�s father and other family members on Thursday, October 13.
Significantly, Rani played a vital role in helping reach Kolhan University to the quarter final of East Zone Inter University Women football competition held in Assam.
At the time, Rani�s mother passed away but she kept giving her 100 % on the field. Seeing her determination towards the sport, BJP leader Chandan Kumar and his father Vikrama Ram encouraged a dalit girl by providing a cheque and appraised her to keep performing better and make a name for the country.
Seeing Rani Ruhidas�s talent, Manager of Kolhan team RK Choudhary informed that Kolhan University will felicitate her.
Rani credited her coach Raunak Ali and her parents for the extraordinary performance. Rani dreams of playing for the country at Olympics.
