Jamshedpur: The next of kin of Sachin Nayak, a student of Upgraded Middle School, Murgaghuttu, Gamharia, will get Rs 2 lakh in compensation for their son�s death.
The minor died of electrocution after stepping into a nearby pond yesterday, not knowing that a live wire had fallen into it due to the alleged recklessness of the nearby brick kiln staff.
After protest by the villagers, the manager of a brick kiln agreed to give compensation to the child�s family.
An ex gratia amount of Rs 20,000 was given to the aggrieved family for performing the last rites of the deceased.
A condolence meet was also held for the deceased child.
