Ranchi: After a brief hiatus for maintenance, the first unit of the Tenughat Thermal Power Station in Ranchi has been brought back into operation. This development was confirmed by TVNL Managing Director, Anil Sharma. Both units are now functioning at full capacity, contributing significantly to the state’s power supply.
On Saturday, a total of 340 MW of electricity was generated, marking a crucial milestone in the power generation process. Notably, this power station played a key role in supplying 340 MW of the total 1700 MW of electricity provided to various regions in Jharkhand, excluding the DVC command area. The resumption of power generation at Tenughat is expected to alleviate electricity shortages and bolster the region’s energy supply.
