Election process of Adarsh Sahakari Grih Nirman Samiti commences following Supreme Court order

Jamshedpur: In view of the directive issued by the Supreme Court of India, the much-anticipated election of the Governing Body of Adarsh Sahakari Grih Nirman Swavalambhi Samiti Ltd., Sonari, is set to take place under the supervision of the East Singhbhum district administration. Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal has laid out a comprehensive timetable to conduct the elections in a time-bound and transparent manner. For smooth execution, dedicated cells have also been constituted to oversee different facets of the election process.

As per the official schedule, the draft voter list was published on Friday, May 2, and will remain open for public scrutiny until May 9. Residents can access the voter list on the official district website https://jamshedpur.nic.in/hi/, as well as at notice boards located at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the office of the Samiti in Sonari, and the District Cooperative Officer’s office.

Claims and objections regarding the voter list will be accepted on May 10 between 11 AM and 5 PM, followed by their disposal on May 13. The final voter list will be published on May 14 at 3 PM.

The nomination process will begin on June 16 and 17, when nomination papers can be received from 11 AM to 1 PM and filed between 3 PM and 5 PM. These papers will be scrutinized on June 18, and a preliminary list of candidates will be published on June 19. Objections to nominations must be filed on June 20, with hearings and their disposal scheduled for June 21.

The list of valid nominations will be published on June 22, while withdrawal of nominations can be done on June 23 between 10 AM and 2 PM. The final nomination list will be published on June 24 from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by the allotment of election symbols at 3 PM on the same day.

The polling day is scheduled for July 6, with voting to be held between 10 AM and 3 PMCounting of votes and declaration of results will take place immediately after the conclusion of polling.

The district administration has urged all eligible members of the Samiti to actively participate in the democratic process and observe the election schedule to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election.
