�Election Express� Van flagged off from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov. 6 : As part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEE DC Ravi Shankar Shukla flagged off an �Election Express� Van from district headquarters. The van is designed to create awareness among the voters and enroll new voters.

The van has a live polling booth, Electronic Voting Machine, Form-6 for enrolment of voters, pledge letters, signature campaign boards, cultural troupe and loud speaker for announcement. It will move across villages in Assembly segments.

The DC has also asked the officials concerned to submit report on places or booths where election malpractices are likely to take place. Such places include areas where efforts may be made by candidates or their supporters to influence voters through various means or affect poll results through bogus voting. He said all basic amenities as directed by the Election Commission of India were available at majority of polling booths.
