Elderly man beaten to death by sibling near Jamshedpur

The motive behind this brutal act was a shocking accusation made by the assailant, identified as Bishu Purti. Allegedly considering his elderly sister-in-law as a ‘witch,’ Bishu launched a violent assault on her. Sadhu, attempting to protect his wife, intervened in the altercation.

The situation escalated rapidly as Bishu redirected his aggression towards Sadhu. Armed with a stick, the assailant ruthlessly struck Sadhu until he lay motionless. The clash had initially erupted over an undisclosed issue late in the night, ultimately leading to this tragic turn of events.

In a disturbing revelation, it was reported that the assailant, Bishu , surrendered at the Seraikela Thana after committing the heinous crime. The police were notified by the Mukhiya of Govindpur panchayat, but due to the unearthly hour, they arrived only in the morning. By then, Bishu had already turned himself up at the Seraikela Thana.

The lifeless body of Sadhu has been recovered by the police and taken to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem.The community is left grappling with shock and sorrow as the investigation into this tragic incident unfolds.
