Elaborate security at Krishi Bazar Samiti, Pandara

Ranchi: Ranchi district administration completed security arrangements for counting of votes for Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency scheduled to take place at Krishi Bazar Samiti, Pandara. Security arrangements have been tightened at the strong-room.

First postal ballots will be counted. Thereafter, votes recorded in the electronic voting machines (EVMs) will be counted. The trends of results will start coming out from 9.30 am onwards.

District administration sources said a total of 124 tables have been put up at the counting centre. Six of them will be for assistant returning officers. Entry of mobile phones and calculators has been prohibited at the counting venue.

In view of the expected arrival of a large number of people at the counting venue, district administration has modified traffic arrangements from Ratu to Piska More.

Entry of heavy vehicles will be prohibited at Pandara. The deputy commissioner of Ranchi Vinay Kumar Choubey and senior superintendent of police Prabhat Kumar have issued joint orders for the deployment of 100 magistrates and 300 police personnel.

Security arrangements have also been tightened in other districts. The officers in-charge of all police stations have been asked to exercise caution during the day.
