Jamshedpur, March 28 : Eight persons travelling on a pick-up van were injured as the vehicle overturned after a head-on-collision with a truck at Bhuiyan under Bodampolice station on Wednesday morning. The pick-up van carrying contractual workers and vegetable vendors was coming to Jamshedpur when it met with the mishap.
Soon after the mishap the injured were brought to the Local MGM Medical College and Hospital in two private vehicles.
A 22-year-old youth-Mangal Mandi and a 32-year-old woman identified as Bali Mahato, both residents of Bodam sustained injuries on their head while two others Sharad Singha, a 24-year-old youth and Mangal Sahis, a 26-year-old man sustained multiple injuries.
All the four were admitted to the hospital and were udergoing treatment at the general ward of the hospital while the rest four injured were discharged from the hospital after first aid.
Officer-in-charge of Bodamthana Vikrant Kumar said the mishap took place close near the CRPF picket in Bodam. He said that the investigation into the mishap is on.
