Jamshedpur, March 3: Police arrested eight persons on charges of gambling from Bistupur market late Wednesday evening. One person, identified as Irfan, however managed to escape, cops said.
Those arrested were identified as Hari Kishan, Vasudev Pal, Sucha Singh, Ramchandra Sahani, Kartik Mahato, Sanjay Pushti, Manohar Sahu, Mohammad Salim, Rakesh Sonkar and Pawan Kumar Choudhary, all city residents.
Cops said the accused persons were caught gambling red-handed behind a shop in the middle of Bistupur market.
