Jamshedpur, March 7: Eight fake examinees were nabbed for appearing on behalf of candidates in Tata Steel’s registered dependent reinstatement examination by the Bistupur police station and remanded to judicial custody on Monday.
Among the accused, Mohd Intikham of Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. Tausif Ahmed, Hashib Ahmed, Mohd. Faisal also from UP and Monu Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, resident of Biharsharif in Nalanda district of Bihar and Asadullah resident of Jamshedpur Kadma BH area.
Except Asadullah, an employee of Tata Steel, all the accused were caught cheating in the place of another examinee in the examination conducted by Tata Steel Company. All were accommodated by Asadullah in a lodge in Dhatkidih, Jamshedpur. Police are looking for some other accused. Admit card, Aadhar card and documents related to the actual candidate have been confiscated from the accused.
This information was given by CCR DSP Animesh Kumar Gupta. An FIR has been registered against 22 in this case. Among the accused Mohd. Intkhab, Tausif Ahmed, Faisal Khan, Haseeb Ahmed, Rahul Agin, Abhishek Kumar, Monu Kumar, Mausuf Alam, Vikas Singh, Azhar Ali, Ashok Kumar, Mohd. Riazuddin, Mohd. Tarikh Zia, Arsad Jamal, Asraful Haque and others are involved. The police of Bistupur police station was informed by Vineet Kumar Singh, manager of Tata Steel security department, that all the fake candidates who were caught were lodged at Dhatkidih Bihar Lodge in Bistupur.
The arrested Abhishek Kumar told the police that the examinee Ashok Kumar and his partner Santosh Kumar had contacted. Money was given to appear in the examination. In the greed of Rs 7000 , he agreed to appear in the examination.
Only two thousand rupees were received as advance amount. Similarly, the detained Monu Kumar told that Nitish Kumar used to study with him. There was talk of a transaction of seven thousand rupees.
