Jamshedpur: Inaugurating the Sonari West Durga Puja Samiti (Tarun Sangh) Puja Pandal, ace mountaineer and Padmashri Premlata Agarwal observed after performing Matri Shakti prayers, �I urge all people to educate their daughters. Education is a powerful tool to eradicate all problems. Women, besides being the symbol of motherhood, are blessed with confidence to take on all challenges and education certainly helps on this score.�
After inaugurating the Pandal, Premlata Agrawal went round the place and appreciated the work done by the Samiti.
Durga Puja is being organized by Tarun Sangha since 1974. The pandal has been erected by Sri Ma Decorators. The image of the Divine Mother has been created by President�s Award winner Sanatan Rudra Pal of Kolkata. The Samiti president KK Das said that cultural events would mark all the four days of Durgotsav. On Shasti, the local team of Sur Jhankar will present dance and music recitals based on Durga Vandana. On Saptami, Nupur Nikan of West Bengal will present a dance and drama performance while on Ashtami evening Symphony Music team of Ranchi will provide a musical bonanza. Nawami will feature a light musical event by artistes of Sur Jhankar.
Others present during the pandal inauguration were Sanjay Sarkar, Chandan Dey, Vikas Kumar, Debu Dutta, Barun Dey, Subhash, Utpal, Tultul and other committee members.
