Chaibasa, Apr 4: Catholic devotees observed Easter Sunday in abeyance of the Covid-19 guidelines at Chaibasa in West Singhbhum.
Father Ranjit Minz exhorted people to walk in the teachings of Jesus Christ who had come to the world to give humanity freedom from sin, suffered for our sin, was crucified, died and after three day was resurrected.
Father Minz said that resurrection means that human beings should leave their sinful habits of selfishness and adopt attributes of helping each other, sacrifice, forgiveness and love for others. Father also said that resurrection provides us an opportunity to repent from our sin and leave away our old habits.
On this occasion Pasca Feast was also held by the priest distributing Holy Prasad to the devotees. Sisters of Convent led the congregation in worship songs on life of Christ.
Devotees also prayed on Saturday late night at Xavier School ground and presented tableau on resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ.
