Ranchi: Easter was celebrated with great fervour all over the state on Sunday. Paska jagran and missa were organized on the occasion last midnight in the state Capital.
The Bishop of Ranchi Diocese Cardinal Telesphore P Toppo also participated in the ceremony. He gave his message of peace and love to the people.
The governor of Jharkhand Dr Syed Ahmad congratulated the people of the state for the festival. He stressed on building a harmonious society.
Members of the Christian community visited graveyards and performed prayers. Various churches were painted on the occasion.
