Team Kundubera of West Singhbhum wins in U15 category

Jamshedpur, Nov. 5: Team Lailan representing Boram block of East Singhbhum district defeated team Dhanchatani of Jamshedpur block in the final to be crowned winner of Tata Kolhan Super League in open category played at Gorgora football ground, Dimna on Thursday. Team Jhinkpani of West Singhbhum district was declared the second runner-up followed by team Noamundi of West Singhbhum.
Best player award in the open category was bagged by Birbal Baskey of team Lailam representing Boram block of East Singhbhum district. Ranjan Mahato team Dhanchatani of Jamshedpur block was awarded the best goalkeeper.

In the U15 category final Team Kundubera of Sadar Chaibasa block in West Singhbhum district beat team Chenjora of Ghatsila block in East Singhbhum district to be declared the winner. Team Kumrashol of Dumuria block in East Singhbhum was the second runner-up followed by Team Karandih of Jamshedpur block in East Singhbhum district. Karan Banra of team Kundubera of Sadar Chaibasa block in West Singhbhum district was declared the best player. Kunaram Tudu of team Chenjora of Ghatsila block in East Singhbhum district bagged the best goalkeeper award.
Tata Football Academy (TFA) Head Coach Carlos Santamarina, Jamshedpur FC’s Head of Operations, Raja Bhattacharjee were the guests and handed over the trophies to the winners.
Held over a period of four months the final phase of Jharkhand�s popular community football tournament �Tata Kolhan Super League� (formerly Tata Group Community Football Tournament) kicked off at Gorgora Ground on November 5.
The tournament has drawn 27,000 players representing teams from the hinterland, with matches played across the length and breadth of Kolhan region. This tournament, aimed at nurturing budding footballers from the hinterland, is being organised by Tata Steel Rural Development Society since 2011.
