DC Satyarthi Reviews Road Projects and Revenue Progress

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karna Satyarthi chaired a high-level review meeting at the Collectorate auditorium on Wednesday to fast-track land acquisition and infrastructure development. The session focused on resolving compensation delays for key road projects and meeting annual revenue targets before the financial year ends.

Fast-Tracking Road Projects and Compensation

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed several critical road and bridge projects, including:

  • Key Routes: Pichhli–Kudada road, Bhagbandi to Odisha border road, and the Phuldungri–Jhatijharna road.

  • Bridges & Rings: High-level bridges on the Begnadih–Potka road and the proposed Kitadih–Bagbeda ring road.

DC Satyarthi issued a stern warning against administrative delays, directing officials to ensure all beneficiaries receive their compensation immediately. He specifically ordered action against any employees found responsible for stalling the disbursement process.

Revenue Targets and Departmental Accountability

With the current financial year closing soon, the DC directed departments to achieve 100% of their revenue targets. Key departments, including State Tax, Mining, Electricity Divisions (Mango, Jamshedpur, Ghatshila), and municipal bodies in Jugsalai and Chakulia, must now prepare urgent action plans to bridge any collection gaps.

Resolving Land Disputes and Auction Cases

To streamline public services, the Deputy Commissioner outlined several directives for Zonal Officers:

  • Special Camps: Halka and Tehsil areas will host camps to resolve issues related to land mutation, demarcation, and correction of records.

  • Auction Execution: All 25 certificate officers must expedite long-pending auction cases.

  • National Lok Adalat: Citizens are encouraged to settle certificate and auction cases during the upcoming National Lok Adalat on March 14.

Anti-Encroachment and Tata Lease Land

The meeting also addressed encroachment on Tata Lease land and public complaints. The DC asked officials to identify common technical errors in the registration software that lead to application rejections and communicate these issues to higher authorities for system improvements.

Key Attendees: The meeting saw participation from Director NEP Santosh Garg, SDO Ghatsila Sunil Chandra, District Transport Officer Dhananjay, and representatives from NHAI, Tata Steel, and the Railways.
