Jamshedpur, Oct 20: East Singhbhum Branch of Indian Red Cross Society has been honoured for work under the PM TB Free India campaign by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Dr Rajendra P Joshi, Dy Director General-TB, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has appreciated the work done by Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum Branch under the “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” in the East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand.
Governor of Jharkhand cum President, Jharkhand State Indian Red Cross Society, has selected the East Singhbhum chapter of Indian Red Cross Society to carry out work in the area of TB providing nutritional food packets to TB patients.
On the occasion of 76th Independence Day celebration on 15 August 2022 at Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi, under the leadership Vijaya Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner cum President, Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, this campaign has been launched in the East Singhbhum District. Under this identified TB patients in the district have been provided with one month’s nutritional food packets and multi-vitamin tablets. Continuing this efforts, on 14th October 2022 TB patients have also been provided with 3rd month quota of food packets and Vitamin tablets.
