Jamshedpur: The second and final day of the 25th State Level Para Athletics Championship 2026 and the 6th State Level Para Badminton Championship 2026 concluded at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Sunday. Athletes competed in track events, including 200m and 400m races, and field events such as shot put, javelin throw, and discus throw across various categories.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution were attended by chief guest Jatashankar Chaudhary, President of the Paralympic Committee of Jharkhand and former IAS officer, along with several distinguished guests. Winners were awarded medals and certificates. Chaudhary praised the performances of nearly 200 athletes from 18 districts and expressed confidence in Jharkhand’s potential at national-level para sports.
East Singhbhum emerged as the overall champion, while Deoghar finished runners-up and Ramgarh secured third place.

In para badminton, Lakshmi Kumari won the women’s singles title, defeating Kiran Kumari. In men’s S24 category, Divyanshu defeated Abhishek Kumar. Yasin won the S-45 men’s singles, with Atul Chand as runner-up. In men’s doubles, Bittu Kumar and Divyanshu Kumar won, while Bajrangi Priya Ranjan and Sumant finished second. In SL-3 men’s category, Bittu Kumar emerged winner and Bajrangi Priya Ranjan was runner-up. In Wheelchair Revolutionary 1 and 2, Anwar Sheikh won, with Tulsi finishing second.
In athletics, Ashutosh Panigrahi won the men’s 400m race, followed by Sai Krishna and Manish Kumar. In wheelchair shot put, Anwar Sheikh finished first, Mohammad Tanveer Alam second, and Hemlal Mandal third. Srikanth Shah won shot put F38, ahead of Rajdeep Kumar and Rana Pratap Yadav. Angad Kumar Singh won both discus throw and javelin throw, with Tapan Kumar second in both events. In 400m T-42, Arun Kumar Mahto won, followed by Anirudh Pandit and Kamlesh Oraon. In ID shot put, Sai Krishna won, while Rohit Kumar won F36 shot put.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by treasurer Rajkumar Singh.
