Jamshedpur, Feb 28: East Singhbhum has bagged the second position among the 117 ambitious districts in the field of health and nutrition for the month of November and December 2018. Central government will be providing Rs 3 crore to the district for funding various health and nutrition related projects.
Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar congratulated the entire district machinery for the achievement. He said he has been invited by the NITI Aayog in New Delhi on 6th March for sharing his experience. He said districts are ranked against five benchmarks in the field of education, health and nutrition, skill development, agriculture and basic infrastructure on the basis of their monthly performance.
Kumar said the people should avail the benefits of various government schemes.
