Earthen pots distributed to save birds

Jamshedpur: Antar-rashtriya Vaisya Mahasammelan, Jharkhand, launched a Pani Pilao, Pakshi Bachao campaign to save birds from dying of thirst in the sultry city weather. Earthen pots were distributed among morning walkers and other commuters near Jubilee Park. The outfit members appealed to the people to offer water to birds in the earthen pots. Such pots should be kept in the open at places where birds are likely to arrive and drink water, they said.
The event was dedicated to late Ramdas Agrawal, founder of the outfit. Among those present on the occasion included Raghunath Pandey, Mohan Lal Agrawal, Srikant Dev, Nand Kishore Agrawal, Sunita Jaisawal, Rakesh Sahu, Pawan Agrahari, RN Mandal, Triveni Prasad and Dilip Poddar.
