e-Court facility underway


Ranchi : Today Chief Secretary, Shri. R.S. Sharma stressed on accessing web-based technology instead of setting up servers at the district level.

Speaking at a meeting with Law Department to discuss the e-Court mission at the Project Building, the Chief Secretary also focused on the security issue with the servers.

The Jharkhand High Court, Registrar General Shri. A.V. Singh at the meeting said that e-Courts Mission Mode Project (MMP) aims for computerization of District and Subordinate Courts and also up-gradation of technology, infrastructure of the Supreme Court and the High Courts.

The Chief Secretary said that through automated access of information, transparency can be maintained in the judicial system and the e-Court enhances the judicial productivity in a cost-effective, efficient and affordable manner.

Shri Shrama asked for the list of states who have signed MOUs for the e-Court Project. He also suggested an assessment of the costs involved in order to implement cloud-computing technology and up-gradation of the project.

At the meeting, the Principal Secretary Information Technology Department, Shri. N.N. Sinha, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Shri. Vimal Kirti Singh, Law Department Secretary Shri. Mangal Murti, along with other officials were present.
