Durga Puja : Ghaghidih Central Jail to skip ‘Bhog’ distribution

Jamshedpur, Oct 13: Administration of Ghaghidih Central Jail has decided to skip distribution of �Bhog� among the inmates during Durga Puja at the jail premises. The organising committee has started making arrangements for the fest but it has dropped the practice of preparing `bhog’ which is always an attraction for the prisoners lodged in the jail and others every year. Revealing about the Puja in the central jail, a senior official said that they have already started arranging for the four-day-long grand Puja. “In accordance with the government guideline we will celebrate the festival. Puja rituals will be done in a small way, and we are not preparing the `bhog,’ which used to be a major attraction for the prisoners and undertrials lodged in the jail,” he said.
He pointed out a�simple�pandal will be set up near� the jail-gate, but there will be no lighting arrangement or programme of cultural programme as used to be carried out by the staff of jail administration earlier.
