Dulal warns of agitation if pending emoluments of workers not paid

Jamshedpur, April 2: A tripartite meeting was held at the DLC’s office in connection with nonpayment of workers’ emoluments by contract firm, CAM Enterprises. Jharkhand Mazdoor Union central committee president, Dulal Bhuinya along with his executive committee members was present. Representatives of CAM Enterprises were also present during the talks. The allegations relate to nonpayment of benefits including PF and ESI to workers supplied by CAM Enterprises as sanitary staff at Tata Motors Hospital.

During the talks, Dulal Bhuinya, president of Jharkhand Mazdoor Union and former minister in the Jharkhjand government, accused CAM Enterprises of exploiting the workers. In his accusations, Dulal Bhuinya said, “CAM Enterprises have not paid the dues of workers who had been laid off five years ago. Those currently working under them at the Tata Motors Hospuital have not been paid their benefits including PF and ESI.”

He urged the DLC to take legal streps against CAM Enterprises failing which the union would be forced to take to the path of agitation.

The DLC assured that if CAM Enterprises did not take any positive decision on payment of the workers’ dues before the next round of talks, he would initiate legal proceedings against the labour contract firm. The Jharkhand Mazdoor Union delegation led by central committee president Dulal Bhuinya at the talks included Hari Mukhi, Rajesh Samant, Kishor Mukhi, Sonu Srivastav, Chhote Sardar, Kisno Hembram and Kamal Mukhi.
