Ranchi: BJP leaders Dulal Bhuiyan and Hikimchandra Mahato today joined the Congress party. Many others joined the Congress on the occasion.
Congress state in-charge Tarachand Bhagora, former Union minister Subodhkant Sahay and former MP Furkan Ansari were also present to welcome the new members.
Bhuiyan was elected as a candidate by the JMM from Jugsalai Assembly seat three times. In 2009, he lost the Assembly election by around 4500 votes.
Later he joined the JVM. He joined the BJP few months ago, but quit it after failing to get ticket from Jugsalai due to BJP-AJSU alliance. BJP gave the Jugsalai seat to AJSU Party.
AJSU Party leader Ramchandra Sahis is the sitting MLA of Jugsalai.
