Jamshedpur: State education department has directed the district superintendent of education (DSE) cum nodal officer for the Right to Education (RTE) Banke Bihari Singh to conduct a probe into the admission lottery controversy of DAV School, Bistupur.
The probe was ordered following a complaint lodged by the district BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand who approached the state government with the demand for action against the school authorities. Anand alleged that the school management had conducted separate lotteries for candidates belonging to separate categories. He said the school had violated the provisions of Article 14 of the Indian Constitution.
Anand said the district education department should conduct a speedy probe into the allegations and take necessary action against the school officials.
