Dress code for auto and bus drivers in Jamshedpur

Identity details of auto drivers to be pasted at backseat

Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Auto drivers will have to paste their name and identity details properly at the back of their seat mandatorily while drivers of auto and buses will have to wear a dress.

These decisions were taken at district level road safety committee meeting held under the chairpersonship of East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar at district collectorate on Thursday.

The deputy commissioners also directed that all auto-rickshaw drivers should get themselves registered with auto-rickshaw associations at the earliest otherwise if they are found unregistered then they might face action.

It was directed that auto driver should paste details like name, Aadhar number, address and mobile number behind their seat which should be properly visible to the passengers and also wear a blue safari as dress code while bus drivers would have to wear khaki dresses. It was also directed to paint with white signages before and after rumblers and also marking properly the speedbreakers for proper identification.

Jusco officials were also asked to put no-parking signage along Marine Drive.
