Baharagora: In keeping with the directives of Jharkhand Education Project on voters awareness drive, a drawing competition on the subject Sugamya Matdaan (Hassle free elections) was conducted at the TPS DAV Public School in Baharagora. About 90 students between classes 3 and 10 participated in the competition. The students stated that they themselves were being made aware of the importance of casting votes and that they could spread this awareness among voters through their paintings.

On April 29, the students wrote letters to their parents making them aware of their rights to franchise. The drawing competition was a sequel to the letter writing exercise.

Appreciating the education departments move in this awareness campaign the school principal observed, These exercises will enhance the positive attitude of voting that would aid them to be neutral and cast their votes to build a progressive nation in the future.
