Jamshedpur, April 4: Sampoorn Manavta Sangh (SMS) president has taken the lead in getting the statue of martyr Ganesh Hansda at Basda Chowk. The martyr’s brother, Dinesh Hansda is creating a park in memory of his late brother.

Ganesh Hansda was martyred while taking on Chinese aggressors in the Galwan Valley on June 16, 2020. Dinesh said, “MP Bidyut Mahto and Baharagora MLA Samir Mohanty had assured that they would get a statue of my brother (Ganesh Hansda) installed but so far, there has been no move from their end.”

Dr Sanjay Giri who had gone to visit the home of the martyr and enquire about the wellbeing of the family members assured them of all possible help and cooperation. When asked about the statue being made for installation, Dr Giri observed, “It is a great feeling to pay homage to Ganesh Hansda who was the son of this soil. His valor has filled us with pride. It is our humble way of celebrating the immortality of a brave son of India.”

The villagers and the Mukhiya are very happy with the statue and park as tributes to martyr Ganesh Hansda coming up.
