Dr Rahul Ramteke pledges lifelong service to dalit welfare

New Delhi, June 15: Renowned cardiologist and social worker Dr Rahul Ramteke, who resides in the Seemapuri Assembly constituency of East Delhi’s Shahdara district, has pledged to dedicate his life to the welfare and upliftment of Dalits and marginalized communities. Inspired by the ideals of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, Dr Ramteke has been actively involved in spreading awareness about government welfare schemes among the backward and Scheduled Caste communities.

In a conversation with journalists, Dr Ramteke emphasized that every Indian citizen has an equal right to food, education, healthcare, and dignified living. “The Constitution has given us the right to equality and education. Everyone must be made aware of and empowered to claim these rights,” he said.

While pursuing his demanding medical profession, Dr Ramteke also devotes significant time to social service. He educates people about various central government schemes designed to support weaker sections and ensures they receive the benefits. His work has made him a respected figure and source of inspiration within the Dalit community.

Dr Ramteke also announced his commitment to offering free health treatment to the economically weak, helpless, and especially to those from Dalit backgrounds. “Unless we ensure equal social status and access to opportunities for backward and Dalit communities, true development cannot be achieved,” he stated.

For the past several years, he has been working tirelessly for the social progress of marginalized groups. “My mission is to uplift these communities to a level of self-reliance where they no longer need anyone’s support. This is my first and last purpose in life, and I promise to work for it until my last breath,” Dr Ramteke affirmed.
