Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Guruji to Visit Sri Sai Centre, Jamshedpur on January 20

Jamshedpur: Sri Sai Centre, Jamshedpur, is set to witness a spiritually significant occasion with the visit of revered Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Guruji on January 20. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Centre on Saturday, presided over by S. K. Behera, President of Sri Sai Centre, in the presence of office-bearers and devotees.

The sacred Prana Pratishtha of Sri Sai Centre was reverently performed by Dr. Satpathy Guruji on October 28, 2012, marking a deep spiritual bond between the Centre and the revered master. His upcoming visit has generated immense enthusiasm among devotees and followers of Shirdi Sai Baba across the city.

As per the programme schedule, Guruji will arrive at the Centre at 6 pm, followed by Puja at 6.15 pm. A devotional dance recital will be presented at 6.45 pm, after which Bhajan Sandhya will begin at 7.10 pm. The programme will conclude with Bhog at 7.45 pm.

Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Guruji is a highly revered spiritual master deeply connected with the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba. Through his simple and practical teachings, he spreads Baba’s timeless message of Shraddha (faith) and Saburi (patience), emphasising purity, humility, self-discipline, selfless service, moral living and complete surrender to the divine will. His guidance has inspired countless individuals on the path of inner transformation and spiritual growth.

Born into a distinguished family of academics and administrators, Dr. Satpathy began his service in the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1972 under the Uttar Pradesh cadre. During his illustrious career, he held several crucial positions in the governments of Uttar Pradesh and India and retired in 2008 as Director General of Police. He was decorated with the Police Medal for Gallantry in 1985, the Police Medal for Long and Meritorious Service in 1991, and the Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 1997, all conferred by the President of India.

Beyond his administrative career, Guruji is globally recognised as a scholar, spiritual thinker, author, philanthropist and humanitarian. His contributions transcend national boundaries and social divisions of class, creed, religion, gender and socio-economic status. He has been honoured with numerous awards, including the Shri Govind Narayan Samman (2012), recognition by former President Pratibha Patil for Shri Guru Bhagwat (2012), Baba Baidyanath Sangeeta Ratna (2011), Divya Sangeeta Shiromani (2011) for his musical and spiritual contributions, and the Mahapurusha Jagannath Das Samman (2011) for excellence in Odia spiritual literature.

Speaking on the occasion, S. K. Behera said that Guruji’s visit would be a source of spiritual upliftment for devotees and the community at large. Amresh Sinha, Honorary Secretary of the Centre, informed that all preparations were in place to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching programme.
