It is, in fact, something extraordinary that the student who was being forced to sit on the classroom’s gate of his school give India its constitution which is the best and the most descriptive written constitution of the world. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as a school going student faced the scourge of casteism. Only because of this sick tradition of casteism, he and the people of his caste were being considered untouchable and as it was the granted custom he was being made sit outside the classroom. But he determined to change the destiny of his fellow people, and he proved himself by raising to the height that was envied by the students who used to come from the so-called high castes and sit proudly inside the classroom. Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891. Though Dr. Ambedkar is called the father of the Indian Constitution un-opposedly since he was the chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. His is the life of struggle for the betterment of the people.
He breathed his last on 6 December, 1956. The charismatic personality of Dr. Ambedkar made purified or challenged many sick traditions which were prevailing during his lifetime. He was the most educated politician of his time. His contribution to the Indian people’s upliftment made him above all the politicians of his time. If a sincere and unbiased comparative study is being done of the works of the welfare of the society by Dr. Ambedkar and his contemporary leaders; Dr. Ambedkar emerges to be on the top the list. So, Dr. Ambedkar is the real hero of India who deserves to be called the maker of modern India.
But unfortunately, some of the people still want to push Dr. Ambedkar to a secondary position by calling him a Dalit Messiah. It is an unjustified explanation of the world citizen Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. No doubt he fought for the cause of the scheduled castes of India but aren’t they Indian? He did a lot for the other people of the country. His sole aim was to make India a better country where all can live with social harmony. He wished to make India great by his deeds. He was totally devoted to the cause of our country. People have forgotten his work for the farmers. He wished every farmer of the country to flourish and that’s why he worked on dam management. Dr. Ambedkar wished that the proper flow of money will make his countrymen self reliant. So he came up with the plan of establishing Reserve Bank of India. He wanted to see the half generation, women of India free from all the orthodox bindings which kept them away from any kind of liberty. Dr. Ambedkar ensured a respectful life for women in India by presenting Hindu marriage act. In short we can say that Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a voice of India and undoubtedly he is the real maker of modern India.
