Jamshedpur, June 22: Congress national spokesman and former parliamentarian, IPS Dr Ajoy Kumar visited veteran politician and Jharkhand visionary late Bagun Sumbrui’s ancestral village and paid homage to the departed leader on the occasion of his third death anniversary. Dr Kumar observed on the occasion, “Bagun Sumbrui was a highly respected leader even among his adversaries. He was devoted to the cause of the people of the land and contributed to the state’s development. Bagun Sumbrui has immortalized himself in the hearts of the people.”
Later, Dr Ajoy Kumar toured villages in Bodam Block and distributed food grains, masks and sanitizers among the villagers. Dr Kumar assured the villagers of providing all possible government help. At the same time, he urged them to turn a deaf ear to rumors and go in for the COVID vaccines as that was the surefooted way to stave off the viral threat.
Other Congress leaders who accompanied the Congress national spokesman during the visit were Anand Bihari Dubey, Dharmendra Sonkar, Karnvir Singh, Imran Alam, Sunny Singh, Anupam Sinha and the party’s supporters.
