Dr. Ajoy Kumar promises safe, developed Jamshedpur with public support

Jamshedpur: Congress candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar , speaking to the media on Sunday, laid out his vision for a safer and more developed Jamshedpur, emphasizing that the upcoming 2024 assembly election will be crucial in shaping the future of the city. Dr. Ajoy  vowed to free the residents of Jamshedpur from what he described as 25 years of misrule under the leadership of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Dr. Ajoy  was particularly critical of the former CM’s failure to secure ownership rights for residents of 86 colonies. “For 25 years, Raghuvar Das deceived the people by promising ownership rights but failed to deliver, despite holding the highest office in the state,” Dr. Ajoy  said, adding that Das had never even written a single letter to address the issue. He vowed that, if elected, his government would form a commission in its first cabinet meeting to resolve the ownership rights issue promptly, after consultations with legal experts.

Taking a broader view of Jamshedpur’s challenges, Dr. Ajoy  promised to improve civic amenities across the city, starting with the provision of clean drinking water to all settlements. He highlighted his previous efforts in securing water connections from Jusco for several settlements, and reiterated his commitment to expanding access to clean water for everyone.

Further, Dr. Ajoy  outlined plans to improve education by opening CBSE-based CM model schools, ensuring quality education for all children without putting additional financial strain on families. He also emphasized the need for vocational training, stating that a lack of skilled manpower has been a major hindrance to employment opportunities. “Our goal is to develop skilled labor through collaborations with various agencies,” he added.

On healthcare, Dr. Ajoy  proposed the introduction of Mohalla clinics offering free medical check-ups and treatment for minor ailments, alongside continuous medical camps. He also pledged to enhance facilities at MGM Hospital and expand them to the scale of RIMS to ensure better healthcare for the city’s residents.

Lastly, Dr. Ajoy  addressed the issue of employment, promising to work with large corporate companies to create job opportunities within Jamshedpur, thus reducing migration in search of work. “My goal is to ensure that the youth of Jamshedpur can find stable, well-paying jobs at home, without the need to migrate to other regions,” he said.
