Jamshedpur: Not only INTUC but also Congress leaders are saddened by the death of INTUC’s preferred leader and former minister Omprakash Lal. On the death of OP Lal, former State Congress President Dr. Ajoy Kumar said that he gave a new direction to the labour movement. Lal was executive chairman of Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union and former minister of Bihar government, breathed his last at Rims Hospital in Ranchi. At the same time, the labour leaders of the state, including the Congress family, are saddened by his death. Omprakash Lal has been an authorized member of the National Coal Wage Agreement for four consecutive times, including the National Labor Congress, Secretary of INTUC, Vice President of National Mine Labor Federation, Vice President of Jharkhand INTUC, Member of JCC BCCL. He served the people of the state as a minister of state in the cabinet of Pandit Bindeshwari Dubey and Dr. Jagannath Mishra.
