Dr Ajoy demands ban on joyful firing

Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Dr Ajoy Kumar, a permanent invitee of the Congress Working Committee and former MP of Jamshedpur, has written a letter to the Director General of Police, Jharkhand, requesting him to stop the joyful firing in marriages and other functions. Dr Kumar said in the letter that on October 25, the video of BJP leader’s bodyguard and others firing joyfully at the dance of children has gone viral.

The video of firing is said to be from the Sukhdevnagar police station area of Ranchi. The video of joyful firing along with dancing on obscene songs by organizing an orchestra program at Indrapuri Road No. 1 is going viral on social media.

Even after banning firing, people are not agreeing. Many times people have lost their lives due to this, even after this people are not taking lessons. In the name of security, those taking arms licenses from the district administration use it for their prestige and coercion. They are neither afraid of the administration nor of anyone’s death To stop such dangerous activities, the district and police administration should take strict action against such people. Their arms licenses should be canceled and a case should be registered against them, otherwise similar rounds of firing will continue in Ranchi district and other parts of our state.
