But shockingly the pellet of the 7.65 mm pistol is still stuck inside his spine, which is matter of great concern for the parents.

“Doctors at the Tata Main Hospital has referred Sudhanshu to CMC Vellore, he will be staying at home at least for the next five-six days. During this period we will have to arrange for the train tickets and also money for the treatment at the hospital,” said Gupta, who is a practicing lawyer in the Jamshedpur civil court.

Gupta, when queried, said though his son has survived from the bullet injury in the lungs at the Tata Main Hospital, the danger will continue to remain until the pellet is removed.

The class XI student of Dayanand Public School in Sakchi, Sudhanshu had sustained bullet injury as one of his classmate had reportedly mistakenly pressed the trigger while showing him the gun in the classroom on June 22 morning.  The classmate was immediately arrested and the police recovered two pistols from the bag of the accused student during a search operation that followed.
