Doctors demand security, meet City SP for early arrest of culprits

Jamshedpur : A delegation of doctors todat met City SP demanding safety of the fraternity after four men robbed the Sakchi residence-cum-clinic of physician N.N. Tripathy. The local chapter of Indian Medical Association expressed concerns over the city�s deteriorating law and order.

The outfit�s Jamshedpur unit president Mritunjay Singh said that the IMA was aggrieved and anguished over the barbaric acts of anti-social elements. He expressed sympathies with the family that has suffered loss due to the incident.

Condemning the spurt of attacks, Indian Medical Association officials said that the regular murders taking place since beginning of the year reflect the ineffectiveness of the police administration.

The IMA has demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the attack on the doctors and legal action against them in accordance with the law.
Even after several days have passed since the armed gang, in guise of patients, decamped with ornaments and cash worth Rs 7 lakh from Tripathy�s residence. Police are, however, yet to make headway in the case.
