DLSA training camp for PLVs

Jamshedpur, March 10: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organized a one-day training camp for para-legal volunteers (PLVs) on Sunday at the Nyay Sadan Building. PLVs from various districts participated in the program and received comprehensive training.

DLSA’s senior mediators KK Sinha and Tarit Baran Kar were the main resource persons at the camp. Tarit Baran Kar provided insights into the formation and objectives of DLSA, emphasizing the role of PLVs. KK Sinha elaborated on topics including domestic violence, child marriage, child labor, and the POCSO Act, highlighting the crucial role PLVs played in delivering justice to victims.

The training emphasized that PLVs acted as vital links between the court and the general citizens, operating at the grassroots level to provide justice to the marginalized while facilitating their integration into the mainstream of development.
