Jamshedpur: A legal awareness camp was organized at the panchayat mandap building of Patamda on Sunday under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority, Jamshedpur.
Various speakers informed the participants about their legal rights and various provisions in law regarding protection of women and children.
The villagers were also informed about the compensation scheme for acid attack victims, child marriage, woman empowerment, domestic violence, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Atrocities Act and various programmes and objectives of the schemes run by NLSA and DLSA.
Many para-legal volunteers were present during the programme.
They included Nagendra Kumar, Usha Kumari, Nanda Rajak, Shiv Shankar Mahato, Khagendra Mahato, Nitai Chandra Gorai and Set Vahan Singh.
