DLSA organizes camp on de-addiction

Jamshedpur: District Legal Services Authority, Civil Court, Jamshedpur, organized a legal awareness camp on de-addiction in Chhayanagar on Sunday. Many local residents were present on the occasion. First Class Judicial Magistrate Shikha Rani Tigga was present as the chief guest. She informed the people about laws related to de-addiction. She said consumption of certain addictive substances is illegal. She said addiction is harmful not only for human health but also for the entire society. Addiction also leads to commission of serious crimes, she said.
Also present on the occasion, First Class Judicial Magistrate Mariam Hembram said awareness and education could help people get rid of addiction. She said people mostly take to addiction in the company of bad elements.
