Jamshedpur, Feb 16: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) today elucidated on various NLSA � 2015 schemes aimed at alleviating poverty during a camp organized at Birsanagar Zone # 4. The main speaker on the occasion was advocate Shamshad Khan.
In his detailed address, Shamshad Khan underlined that many government scheme benefits went abegging because of a lack of of adequate information and awareness.
He said, �The government has drawn up several schemes aimed at wiping out poverty. But a lack of awareness and proper information do come in the way of taking advantage of these schemes. The District Legal Services Authority is there to provide help with information and availability of the schemes.�
PLV Sunil Pandey provided details on the functions of DLSA and urged people to report problems being faced by them to the help centres run by the authority.
The programme was conducted by BANDHU organization�s Subhash Singh Rai. Among those present included Kartick Roy, Pranab Baral, Surendra Prasad, Bablu Das, Malay Kumar Das, Shyamal Nag, Dinesh Chaubey, Parimal Sinha, PLV Shankar Gorai, Arun Rajak and local residents.
