District Telecom Committee approves 9 mobile towers in Jamshedpur, issues strict directives

Jamshedpur: A meeting of the District Telecom Committee was convened under the chairmanship of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal in the office room located in the Collectorate. The meeting addressed several issues related to mobile tower installations and their operational status in the district.

During the meeting, a total of 47 cases related to mobile tower non-objection were presented. Out of these, 9 cases were approved, and 10 were rejected. Additionally, 15 applications were returned to the concerned service provider company for further information. There were 3 cases where the service provider company was directed to clarify the situation within a day.

The committee conducted a review of BSNL towers in shadow areas. It was found that the installation work for mobile towers had been completed at 77 locations, with work still in progress at 15 sites. Progress at 8 locations was hindered due to regional problems, which the Additional Deputy Commissioner was instructed to resolve promptly.

The District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner directed all zonal officers to conduct detailed site inspections in the future and submit comprehensive reports. All committee members were instructed to provide their opinions soon after examining the applications uploaded on the portal. A strict warning was issued regarding potential action in cases of laxity at any level of the work process.

Additional Deputy Commissioner  Rohit Sinha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, and other concerned officials were present in the meeting. Their contributions and discussions were integral to the decisions made and the directives issued during the session.
