District level National Voters’ Day ceremony in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, a district level function was organised at Ravindra Bhawan, Sakchi. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar joined the program as the chief guest. Deputy Development Commissioner Parmeshwar Bhagat, Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum Nitish Kumar Singh and other senior officers of the district administration were present on the occasion.

The program was launched by lighting the lamp by the Deputy Commissioner along with the specially-abled voter icon of the district. Subsequently, Kumar administered the voter pledge to all the members present in the auditorium.

The District Panchayat Raj Officer, Dr. Rajinikanth Mishra, highlighted the formation of the Election Commission and its usefulness in strengthening democracy.

Explaining about the rights of democracy, Kumar said that to create a strong democracy or to develop the state and the country, the election of the people’s representative is very important, which can develop our society or country.

Giving information about the app to be launched today, the Election Commission of India has made a big jump in service delivery and transparency today. Any person can download the app by entering some necessary details and get the necessary information about the voter ID.

Also from the month of February, through this app, any person who is 18 years or more can apply to get a new voter ID, for which no longer will have to visit government offices or Pragya Kendra. Also, the necessary information related to the voter ID can be obtained through the app
