District Congress Cooperative Department to launch membership drive

Jamshedpur, August 11:  In a meeting of East Singhbhum District Congress Cooperative Department organized at Ayesha Marriage Hall in Azad Nagar, Mango on Wednesday evening, discussions were held to strengthen the roots of Congress and add more members to the party. It was decided to strengthen the Congress Cooperative Department and to emphasize on the membership drive.

Chinna Rao, District President, Congress Cooperative Department presided over the meeting. He said that Congress is the only party which gives opportunity to every common man. Congress was there yesterday, is here today and will remain in future too. Rao further said that the Congress Cooperative Department would visit the villages and increase the number of young Congress members in the rural areas.

Chinna Rao also expanded the district committee. Md Shahzada was nominated as Mango Block President. On this occasion, INTUC National General Secretary Sanjeev Srivastava, Youth Congress State Secretary Rakesh Sahu, District Secretary A Rauf Khan, West Vidhan Sabha resident Haider, Sonu Sonkar, Bablu Naushad and Sultan Ahmed were present as guests.

Expressing their views, the guests said that the tradition, policy, principles of Congress party have to be carried forward. The Congress party has always been and will be the voice of the Akalis, Majlums and backward communities. Vice President Shariq Akhtar, Umer Ali, General Secretary Nabi-ul Rahman, Samsher Ansari, Treasurer Souf Khan, Secretary Shahbaz Khan and were present on the occasion.

Chinna Rao, while expanding the district committee, appointed A Rauf Khan as the senior vice-president cum spokesperson, Mukesh Singh as the vice-president, Amit Masih, Sonu Sonkar, Chandrabhan Singh as the general secretary, Raju Sharma, Jaspreet Singh as the secretary and Sajid Khan as the treasurer.
