Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district Congress committee celebrated the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi at Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur, on Monday. A seminar was organized on this occasion.
The chief guest was Jusco Shramik Union president Raghunath Pandey. He said the country was leading in the field of Information Technology due to the contributions made by late Rajiv Gandhi in bringing computer to India. A lot of work was done by the former PM during his tenure for the welfare of workers.
Special guests of the programme Suresh Dhari and Ashok Choudhary said the former PM had paved the way for India’s entry into the 21st century.
The programme was chaired by Sanjay Singh Azad. Others present during the event included Rakesh Sahu, Diwakar Jha, Ansar Khan, Dharmendra Prasad, Aparna Guha, SD Singh, Laddu Pandey, Surendra Singh, Munna Mishra and Pramod Mishra.
